Dan Gilroy / President / Creative Director
I design websites exclusively for law firms and have been doing so for more than twenty years. My path into this work, however, did not begin in design. It began inside the legal industry itself.
After college, I spent sixteen years in Washington, D.C., working in policy and government affairs. Three of those years were on Capitol Hill with the U.S. Senate Committee on Finance, where I served as a committee clerk. The following thirteen were at White & Case LLP and Patton Boggs & Blow (now Squire Patton Boggs), where I worked as a legislative affairs specialist. Day after day, I worked alongside attorneys, navigated firm culture from the inside, and developed a practical understanding of how lawyers think about their practices, their reputations, and their clients.
That experience has shaped everything I do today. I do not approach law firm website design as an outsider trying to interpret the legal profession. I approach it as someone who lived in that world and then spent the next two decades translating that knowledge into digital strategy and design. We have designed for solo practitioners, mid-sized regional firms, and large multi-office practices, and the structure, tone, positioning, and strategy must reflect those differences. A litigation group at a 200-attorney international firm has very different objectives from a family law solo competing in a local market. I understand both because I have worked in both worlds — inside the firms and behind the designs.
Over twenty years in web design and SEO, my team and I have built deep expertise in what law firms require from their web presence: responsive development across devices, custom WordPress theme architecture, search engine optimization aligned with how clients actually search for attorneys, logo and brand identity systems, and legal copywriting that speaks clearly to both the lawyer and the prospective client.
Our clients often tell us they value our responsiveness above all else. When you reach out, we respond. When something needs to move, it moves. That is not a slogan; it is how we build long-term relationships with attorneys who trust us with the public face of their firms — many of whom return for additional projects and refer their colleagues after working with us. You can read what they say in our client reviews.
