About the firm
Bedi & Singer LLP is a Chicago law firm focused on federal and white-collar criminal defense nationwide and serious state criminal cases across Illinois. Partners Jonathan Bedi and Dena Singer work together on every case.
Making the firm’s experience easier to evaluate
Bedi & Singer LLP wanted a website that reflected the work the firm was seeking: federal investigations and white-collar defense nationwide, alongside serious criminal cases in Illinois. For someone arriving through a referral, the site needed to answer three questions quickly: Do these lawyers handle my kind of case? Who will work with me? What supports their reputation?
Give federal and state defense their own paths
The practice structure separates federal and white-collar defense from serious Illinois state cases. Dedicated pages explain individual charges and investigations rather than asking visitors to work out the firm’s experience from a broad list. New federal practice copy, descriptive navigation, and links between related pages make it easier to find the relevant work.
Explain what working with the firm means
The homepage and firm page make the partners’ shared involvement explicit. Attorney profiles provide more detail, while client reviews, representative matters, recognition, and press coverage give visitors different ways to assess the firm. A dedicated referrals page also speaks directly to lawyers looking for counsel for their clients.
Carry the same priorities onto a phone
The custom WordPress build adapts the partner photography, practice navigation, and supporting content for smaller screens. Phone and email contact remain direct, in keeping with the firm’s preference. The project included content strategy, writing and editing, migration of existing material, and launch support.
The result is a more specific presentation of the firm: who handles the case, which kinds of matters belong here, and why a prospective client or referring lawyer should take a closer look.

Before

Visitors had to piece together the firm’s strengths
The old homepage paired a courthouse photograph with a broad criminal-defense headline and three general sections: Firm Profile, Who We Are, and What We Do. The copy stressed dedication and courtroom experience but gave little detail about the federal investigations, white-collar matters, and serious Illinois cases the firm handled.
Equal-weight columns, small text, and generic navigation made priorities harder to scan. The homepage did not explain that both partners work on every case, while judicial praise and client feedback lived elsewhere. Visitors had to explore several pages to assess whether the firm fit their matter.
After

The people, practice, and supporting evidence together
The redesigned homepage introduces both partners alongside a specific statement of the firm’s federal and state work. Judicial quotes and recognition provide supporting evidence, while distinct practice paths help visitors find the work relevant to their situation.
New photography, larger type, and a blue-gray palette establish a clearer reading order. The page explains the partners’ involvement and connects visitors to detailed profiles, representative work, and referral information. The same priorities carry onto phones, with direct phone and email contact.
The design
Dan Gilroy rebuilt our firm’s website and nailed it. It came out better than I could have hoped for. He has a thoughtful process, a sharp eye, and is easy to work with. Highly recommend.
