About the firm
McMan & Co. is an international trade law firm based in Amstelveen, the Netherlands. The practice advises importers and exporters on customs law, VAT, excise duties, antidumping measures, and other issues affecting goods moving across borders.
The website presents the firm’s services, specialists, and international reach through concise pages and photography of trade and transport. The design uses a tanker image on the homepage, with a restrained palette and an editable WordPress structure for the firm’s information.

After a failed, nerve-wracking attempt to have a new design for our website by a local designer, working with Dan Gilroy from a distance of 5000 miles was a breath of fresh air.
Dan listened to our wishes. He did not hesitate to discard some of his initial designs based on our feedback and then created a new set that was so impressive that we wished we could have three websites instead of one. He was actively involved in every step of the process, including even ideas about texts and corrections.
When we had a misunderstanding of the lost-in-translation type and the design changed in the wrong direction, Dan not only quickly adjusted the design but also perfectly identified and explained the root of that misunderstanding. Such effort from the designer leads to better understanding and cooperation, thus bringing clarity to the client's temporal confusion.
Rarely one comes against a specialist who combines so many beneficial and effective qualities: intelligence, knowledge, experience, creativity, taste, patience, perfect attitude to the clients - calm, friendly but no nonsense, and ability to listen, to follow the wishes of the clients and to give honest constructive feedback.
